New channel: WHAT’S NEXT IN ISRAEL TECH
Israel remains the startup nation, with thousands of life-changing startup companies. Each company has an amazing story unto itself, but the world doesn’t have access to the stories. A new social media channel, “What’s Next in Israel Tech”, changes that. The channel looks for the most interesting new Israelo companies, and launch a new 90-second interview each week.
“What’s Next in Israel Tech” was established after October 7 2023. A team at Finnegan, a high tech law firm that works with hundreds of Israeli companies, was dismayed by the horrible and often inaccurate messages about Israel in the mainstream media and decided to change the narrative. As a public service, the team began interviewing CEOs of hot new Israeli companies – the ones few yet know — in order to spread a positive information about Israel and to encourage investment in Israel. Each week, “What’s Next” publishes a fresh 90-second episode, highly edited with music and images.
Gerson Panitch the lead partner of Finnegan Israel and the host of “What’s Next”, explains: “as startup Israeli companies struggled to find investments in the wake of October 7, we decided to launch a LinkedIn and Facebook social media channel called, ‘What’s Next in Israel Tech’. Each week we post a 90-second episode spotlighting an up-and-coming Israeli startup company – the types of companies everyone wants to know about but has no way of learning about.
“One of our goals is to reach venture capitalists outside of Israel and introduce them to Israel’s most exciting new innovative companies. Another broader goal is to spread a positive message about Israel, to help counter the negativity in mainstream media. We are doing this as our way of giving back to the Israel high tech community and accelerating its growth, particularly during these difficult times.”
Gerson Panitch has worked with over 250 of Israel’s top companies to help them grow valuation through strategic patenting, and to assert and defend patent infringement claims in U.S. courts. Gerson teaches patent strategy at Tel Aviv University’s Coller Business School. He founded the Finnegan Israel Practice in 2009 to help Israeli companies increase their valuation and protect their technology from competitors.
